Students' Consciousness for Effectiveness of Learning Experiences in "Information and Computer"

The purpose of this study is to make clear the students' consciousness about effectiveness of learning experiences in gInformation and Computerh of junior high school level technology education. The effectiveness of learning experiences can be defined as the feeling of useful for their own learning experiences. The investigation with a question: gWhat kind of a learning experience do you feel useful in your lifeh, was conducted on four hundreds twenty-six 9th graders. As a result, almost students feel useful of gaining computer-operating skills in gInformation and Computerh class. However, they could not recognize so much their abilities of information utilizing. Also, 64.4% of students feel the effectiveness of computer skill in their future occupations. However their expectation for that is vague, not concrete. So, some suggestions for improvement of classroom activities were proposed in order to solve the above present status of studentsf consciousness.
