Yasushi ICHIHARA, Jun MORIYAMA, Masashi MATSUURA
The purpose of this paper is to analyze and examine the effects of learning with a Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) system. The theme of learning in such an environment was planned, developed and tested through the use of digital contents, a BBS, and File-sharing system, in the classroom. After class, the students were observed and measured in 5 categories: abilities for gathering, judging, presenting, processing and creating information. A significant improvement took place in the overall efficiency of both abilities for processing and judging information through this collaborative learning.
